hows everyone doing, been some time since i've logged on.

I've been building stands for much smaller tanks for a while. but recently I upgraded myself to a 120g tank (6 ft) I noticed when I put the tank on that at the ends it didnt touch the stand complety. Probably a gap less then a quater of an inch. Just wondering, since its such aheavy tank, if i should use foam or not to make up the difference and support the tank, or just place shims under it so it makes contact w/ the stand.?

A combination of everything. The stand itself should be level. Then a piece of foam would do the trick.

You have to remember that the tank can burst from the stress if it is not level. Not to mention that it will not look good and you will not have even flow through the overflow.
