My tank is 6' long and I have a Korilia on one end and a powerhead on the other end. The Korilia is badly designed but it works well, looks lousy in the tank but it is what it is. The powerhead also works well but not strong enough. I don't remember how old it is but I think it came in a wooden box with the instructions written in Latin. It says something about greasing with lard after storing in a dry bilge away from Grog and hard tack, (whatever that is)
But it is just not powerful enough so I want a different one and I will use that one in my fish pond. Of course I just decided this after looking at it for at least 30 years, maybe 25, maybe 35, I have no idea.
Anyone selling a used one or how about an Idea of what to get as I have not bought anything for the tank since Nixon was President.
I really hate new stuff. Of course I can look it up from one of the sponsors.
Yeah, that sounds like a plan.

Might I suggest the sicce voyager pumps. Also not great to look at but work great.

Thanks I looked them up because I never heard of them. Cheap also. But I have to get it in Dr Foster and Smith as I have a gift certificate and I don't see it in their catalog. I am thinking of this HYDOR Korilia 1050, 1,150 GPH for $57.00
It is the same price as the Sicce Voyager.

I also have a tiny 1 3/4 HP outboard motor for my Dinghi. No, maybe not.

XXXAngelXXX sent me the pump and I put it in my tank and it pumps twice as much as my ancient powerhead. Looks better also. I am very happy with it and he gave me a great price and shipped it right away.
I really appreciate it. It looks like a Korilia 4 according to the catalog and is exactly what I was going to order.
Thank you Angelo.

I have my old powerhead soaking in some saltwater because it has so much life on it that I want to throw as much of that back in the tank as I can. There are a few brittle stars, tube worms and amphipods living on and in it. When most of them jump off, I will soak the thing in some vinegar, then bleach. I will keep it as a spare or use it in my pond.
Have a great day.
