Anyone with BK Mini had an issue of their pump starting and stopping, repeat, then just shut off? If so, how did you resolve it?

I took it apart and cleaned it but didnt give it a vinegar bath yet. I'll leave it soaked in vinegar for 1/2 day or something. The impeller seems to a bit brown color on it. I'll post picture after the BBQ.

I gave it a couple vinegar baths and it still does the same thing, on and off, then eventually shuts off. Any other idea? It is too costly to replace any part of this damn pump. Grrrrr.....frustrated.

BK Mini RD Pump Problem
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, your motor block is no good. The Red Dragon pumps have an internal fuse that protects the pump from starting a fire. However, if it blows its not replaceable sealed inside the motor block. The condition you are describing sounds like it, you can go on RC. They actually have a thread where they explain this and go into details about it. I think the new motor blocks are more available now. Good luck
