Skimmer overflowing

My skimmer has been overflowing with water from the sump. I have it set on the minimal level of skimming and even with that it continues to overflow with the water from the sump. The skimmer is about 8 1/2 inches submerged in the water and its a bubble magus curve 5. As of now i turned it off. Any ideas on how to fix this?

i vodka dose daily and it never was an issue with the skimmer until today

What about filter socks. A brand new filter sock will send my skimmer over flowing. I pre wash all socks in bleach and water, fixes that issue...

Is the airline silencing hose (not sure on exact name) correctly installed? I took my skimmer out once and cleaned it up than put it back in and it instantly flooded. I just took it off and put it back on and it was fine afterwards.

I just washed the foam pre-filter sponge and my skimmer started overflowing.

I washed off the skimmer yesterday and cleaned it and as of now its working properly. Keeping my fingers crossed.
