I'm trying to decide between controllers for my 180gal reef.

Which controller combo do you prefer, the octopus3000 or the aquacontroller][?

Thanks!

Well, I have never used an Octopus so can't comment on them.

As for the Aquacontroller, I have the most recent version and like it alot. The new controller II has sealed buttons and a digital calibration method for the probes....works very well. I had an Aquacontroller I. It was great but the II is better. In addition, I don't think I have found a company with better customer service than Neptune. Curt Pansegrau of Neptune will answer any questions you may have and will go out of his way to help. IMO, that is worth alot.

Fine product, great service.
I give the Aquacontroller II thumbs up.

I have the Neptune Pro, and I agree with elvis about the service. I like my unit alot, although the Pro version is a bit expensive and the features might be a bit excessive for some people.
