I think my biggest gripe with the BRS reactor is the flex PVC. And it's absolutely because of the way my sump area and stand are configured. Just not a lot of room. Looks REAL crazy right now, but I'll have to cut down the pvc so it's not so awful looking.

I like the quality of the BRS reactor the best for GFO and it can be split for also carbon. It really is made of top quality of materials. However, it is bulky ( size of standard RO/DI canister ) and the negative for me, is it is too heavy to hang on the sump.

However, it works great and Bulk Reef supply support is the best.

A new feature I like a lot, is that on the Bulk Reef web site, they have added new videos that help you set up equipment. For instance, on GFO, you want the flow to be low, so media does not break down.

Looks like I'ma get the BRS!

So I have a 50 gallon tank. So just one of these should be fine for both carbon AND phosphate remover correct?

Is it okay to have both components mixing together like that?

Which carbon and GFO do you use? the ones from reefsupply look ok but are they worth the price?

If you go on to BulkReefSupply.com, you can review some of their videos on GFO and carbon. The videos are very good and I learned a lot. They show you how they come up with their recommendations.

This vendor is like MarineDepot.com. Both vendors have knowledgeable salepersons. While MarineDepot is not the cheapest, their recommendations are usually great, to recommend top notch supplies. While BulkReefSupply recommends great items also, their prices are usually very good, because besides being a vendor, they are a manufacturer.

Years ago, never heard of this vendor (BRS). Over the years, I have found them to be top notch. Always excellent value for their products. I am a big fan of their videos.
