I bought the glass-holes.com overflow kit and am prepping everything for the drilling process.

The only problem I have is that the larger hole saw won't fit into the chuck of my drill.. the bit is too large. Is there a way to use a smaller connection so that it will work with my smallish drill?

Thanks in advance for the help. :splitspin

Ur drill has a 3/8" chuck. U need to get ur hands on a drill with a 1/2" chuck.
There is really no way to reduce the bit that will be worth u messing up ur tank. (imo).

You can purchase an extension chuck that fits on your regular drill. This will aloe you to use the larger diameter bits. Or you can purchase a piece that can replace the existing chuck on your drill if you prefer, no need to buy a new drill. This can be found at homedepot or lowes.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Looks like I just didn't put the bit in deep enough. I tried it again and it fit just fine.

Both holes are drilled, the overflow and piping is set and the PVC cement is drying ;)

This little DIY project is coming along nicely.
