Why won't my MP40 go into night mode?

Hey guys. I bought an mp40 used, and have tried to put it into night mode via the instructions online, but it never goes into the slow white LED "breathing" night mode. It's a Gen2 AFAIK. Anyone have an idea?

do you hold both buttons down TOGETHER till it starts flashing all crazy colors? then when its flashing you hit both buttons TOGETHER again and it will turn white

Thanks for the reply crazy corals. Ya, I press both buttons till they start flashing and then press them again, but it doesn't turn white, it just goes back into what ever mode/color it was in before i tried.

hmmm tryed reseting the unit unplugging it ? and try to replug it back? if not my be a fault might have to send it in to echo tech if you send it this week you should get it back very fast there great with there turn around.

I bought it second hand. Do you think that would be a problem?

did you ask the original owner? anything could be possible i would like to hope and think that someone didnt sell you a defective vortech on purpose.
