Controllers
I have the APEX and bought it for some of the technical computer issues and not the functions since both have similar options. The APEX has a faster bus speed and is ROM upgradeable over the net while the DA doesn't. A system is only as good as the latest upgrade the fixes problems with the newest operating systems. While windows 7 is now the standard, 3 years from now when I want to use my APEX with the newest standard, it will be simple enough to upgrade it via a software patch over the net. I also like the naming function, in that I can name each outlet that my controller is managing so that I don't need to remember what I have plugged into it. The programming takes some getting used to, but their technical support is great. When I asked both companies for their differences, the only one to answer was APEX which sent me an email the same day. That's customer service.
