Return hose

Okay I'm have a bit of a problem. I bought a mag-9 return pump, now I'm looking for a hose ....it says 3/4 on the pump but when I look at the hoses in home depot that's 3/4 it don't fit :-/

where can I buy a return hose foe the mag-9 to go to my tank return pipe that's 3/4 too?????

The hoses at Home Depot might be listing the outer diameter as 3/4 not the inner.

Try 5/8 I use those for canister filters and most pumps. Did you try any other size hoses? Bring the adapter or pump with you and test it out in the store that's what I always did. What are they going to do? Think you stole a mag 9.5 from them lol. I've walked into home depot with more stuff than I bought.

+1, I did that today when I went to home depot and bought a water hose for my tunze ato. Took the old tubing and pump with me. :tongue1: Now I'm good money.

A trick to installing the tubing........get a cup of boiling hot water, put the end of the tubing into the water, then slide it onto the hose barb fitting. This should let you slide it on easily, and when it cools off it'll contract for a nice tight connection (in addition to the hose clamp you should be using).

Yep I took the pump with me... And for some odd reason 3/4 was the only size they had unless you was buying a washing machine hose :-/

But we are talking about the home depot on dekalb ave :-( worth krap.

I will check another place later on today,
Do they have plastic clamps??? I don't want to put a metal one in my sump.

Ohh and the mag-9 has thread on it do they sell hoses with threads??

Figured out my problem I was trying to put the hose right onto the outlet part of my pump, not resizing there was a pease that screws onto the outlet of the pump then the hose onto that. So that adventure is now over and on to the next
