MP40 question

i just got a mp40 like 2 weeks ago.its loud.it sounds like a hydrolic lift.my mp20 is silent.is there a way to stop this sound.i think i spaced it out fine.anyone else expierence this.i can hear it in the next room.my living room in the basement.it dont sound to loud when im in the room with the tank but it seems to echo through the walls

did you get it new or used. you may need a new wetside. i might have to get one for mine too because it is also very loud.

You have to move it in the right position leave it on and move the wet side untile the noise is not that load . The MP40 are strong and will make little nose but not that load.

yea i completely took the spacer off because it kept sliding down and it helps when you get it in just the right spot but i think im going to get a new wetside anyway or just get a brand new one because i need it anyway for the other side then compare the noise and see if i should get a new wetside.

batt i moved the wetside till the grinding noise stopped it sounds like a hydrolic lift now.just didnt know if thats the sound its supposed to make since the 20 is virtually silent

ok so im guessing that the hydrolic lift noise is normal since noone responded .here is 1 more question.i hit the timer so the pump slows down at 11.but i need to do it every night it does not stay in sleep mode.my 20 goes into sleep mode evry night by itself.why does my 40 not.
