I am going to add a mated pair to my reef tank but rather than going through the hassle of trying to remove the male at the last minute, I was hoping for a way to remove the babies soon after release in the main tank. My thought was to place a fake urchin in an area of the tank that would be easy to manouver a net. Would it be likely that the male would release the young here and/or that the young would congregate to the fake urchin? Would it be possible with a large net to gather the whole urchin, young and all? Thanks for any experiences or comments on this.
