So I watched my fat malanarus start picking off my goniapora. Has anyone else had problmes with these? I have had him for two years hes been fine other than a bully in the tank now boom hes eating it like its candy.

You sure it's not grabbing food that the Goni may have trapped?

Also, you sure it's a Melanurus?

oh its definetly a melanurus and he eats like a machine. Krill brine flake pellet his stomache is huge. it was the first time I have seen him do anything like that. Well there was one time i bought 5 peppermint shrimp for some aptasia he ate all 5 in 20 minutes worst investment ever lol.

Mine eats anything that moves...if the goni was moving in the flow he could have mistaken it for food, and maybe likes the taste... I have one that attacks everything except for my hand. He gets very aggressive during feeding time. I have to feed him first, fill him up, then the other guys can eat once he slows down from being so full...lol.. like 20 pellets..lol:letitallo

I am thinking of throwing a leopard in there with him they look awesome.

IMO, most leopards are usually considered 'expert only'... They do not ship well or acclimate well to tank life. Try to find someone that is selling a leopard wrasse from their own tank, that they've had for awhile
