house, thanks for insight. I think you might be right about the daylight and predator motivation. No possible way to plug the holes in the wall. The way it was constructed it allows lots of flow all around and through it.

scarf, ty. If you check out the construction of the wall, you'll see there are dozens of places for him to scoot back there :sad2: . I guess it provides him with that safe haven though. Gotta look at the positives. BTW, the thread linked above is a ton of pictures. You don't have to read much to get an idea of the wall concept.......DIAL UP BEWARE.

Nope. I haven't seen him eat anything. I feed the tank, but 99% of the time he's behind the wall, so there's no way for me to witness him eat. If he survives another few weeks I'd think he must be eating something .
