I'a m heading to the Bahama's next week, my son was asking me if we can catch fish and bring them home? Does anyone know if this is possible and or legal. When we where in Cozumel we saw many small fish that my son wanted to keep, but i was not sure if they would live long enough. Seeing how they ship them overnight, i dont think the commute will kill them.

Has anyone done this? should i try, or just look and don't touch.

No. It is not Legal and it hurts the environment. You can only remove fish from certain areas of the worls and you must have the proper permits. Besides you will never clear customs with them and stand to have the fish taken awaw, a very sad child and some really dead fish after customs takes them.

plus i would think that the shipping water for the fish you want to bring back would exceed the, what, 3oz?, of liquids that you can now carry on to planes.

maybe u can just go to a lfs there.. they probably catch local fish and sell them.. buy em n see if the lfs can ship them here.

The shipped livestock still has to go through US customs.
