This is my first post! This is a great site, glad I found it!
I purchased a clown from my lfs and was told it was a Clarkii. He's a great fish with alot of personality! Anyways, every picture I see on the internet and fish id sites don't show Clarkii's with only one stripe. My Clarkii looks more like a cinnamon clown. He has one stripe behind his head, his body looks like it is turning black and has a lighter almost white color tail. Hope this helps. I don't have my camera at the moment. If I need to I can snap a photo and add later.
Is there a definite way to tell the difference? I would love to get this guy (or gal, rather) a mate. I don't want to purchase a juvenile of the wrong type. :?
