Another interesting observation: the females, and only the females of both species, pick and eat algae off the rock on a constant basis. The males don't seem as interested in foraging, and when they do go forage on the rocks, they seem to aim for fauna, not flora.
You guys want to see the most amazing thing? I have some out-of-focus, bad photos of the male rhomboid going into full courting ritual display. Here's a sequence of events:

I actually always thought it is an over rated fish cause the specimens I saw were never even half as nice as the pics.

I do not know what I put in the water, but now the male C.earlei is starting to display. I haven't been able to photograph it yet, but I will keep trying. He's gorgeous when he puffs up. The colors don't change as much as the Rhomboid, but it becomes incredibly intense.
