Latezonatus, AKA wideband clownfish

Any of you California guys seen latezonatus clowns available recently? Seems like years since I have seen them in the midwest. Somebody must be collecting them though because they keep showing up in Japan:

That's a rare find. I've only seen one out here in my lifetime, and it was $150.

It's region and the fact that it's a colder water species will probably keep it scarce.

I used to see them years ago at Exotic Aquarium in Sacramento. (Reefnutz and I live near each other) I remember seeing a couple pairs or so at once there. But I haven't seen any more ever since then, at the wholesalers or LFSs. They sure are purty.

I've always wanted to try a pair of these in a dedicated tank. They are slightly subtropical species if I'm not mistaken - also many I've read about on RC state they get sick easily - maybe from improper water temperatures?

I have a pair that doing great right now, never had too much probs with em. Except one time the female came down with popeye.
Great fish though.
