This is a male of Cirrhilabrus exquisitus, 10 cm, from Kenya.
It has a red band around eye, typical for Indian Ocean form, and a green body. When it excites blue stripes will appear like this.
Rudiek Kuiter of Australia states that it is a true species (= exquisitus) and those from s. Japan, Australia, Fiji and Rowley Shaols are different ones, but present scientists treat them as variants of exquisitus.
It is very difficult to see the border of the range of these different forms (especially around Indonesia).
