The origin is unknown, aquarium import from Singapore. Possibly came from the philippines.

I travel to Bangkok every year and was wondering if there are any stores that specialize in rare angelfish like you see in Japan. I have seen some saltwater livestock sold at the weekend market but there wasn't anything that I would consider rare being sold there.
