Are Pj cardinals mouth bruders? Because the last 2 days 1 of my 4 hasn't been eating... And the bottom of the mouth is sticking out... Iv'e seen this in Bigdog 28's brackish water fish but never in saltwater...If so how long before I should separate....:bigeyes::bigeyes:

keep an eye on the tank. one day you will see the tiny baby fish. you can catch and seperate the babys but be carefull. they will need a good water turnover but low flow rate. they can use little caves, anemones or longspine urchins for protection. you will need to feed them Daphnia or CYCLOP-EEZE at least 2 times a day preferably 3. be prepared to loose the majority the first time but you can easily have success if you stay on top of them. LMK how you make out and if you have any questions. BTW I bred Banggai cardinalfish in my reef.

I just check your list of fish and would reccomend seperation. breeders are good but have a very low turnover rate see if you can set a nano that branches off your current setup.

you can see how small they will be. rember there will be between 10 and 20 in the mouth of your male. you need them to be in a safe area where they won't get blown away. usually the male will find this spot and stay there till the release. just set up some cover for them and wait.
