Yea, the annoying old ich question, but my current stock was clean, not a spot. I wasnt QT because it was a fowlr but after I recently added a small porcupine puffer and a tiny inch long Dogdafe, they both have a ich and are not eating good.

Paramaters Pefect. AMM 0, nitrite 0, Nitrate undetectable, salinity, 1.022

Im currently feeding them a nice mix of krill, clam, angel food, nori, dry food all soaked in garlic and saltwater.

Should I add a product or just keep doing normal measures?

Should I QT a fowlr aswell?

QT, and you should treat the ich now by removing your fish to hospital tanks and leaving the main tank empty for 6 weeks. It will save you a LOT of trouble and time later. Its really a pain, but after several dead fish I realized that there's just no other good way.

I definitly here you, but bearing in mind its a fowlr cant I bossible medicate or use hyposalinity w/ higher temp for a little while as awibrandy suggests w/ of course starting up a qt anyway

I would hospital tank, and if possible uv light for the main. I have had success of feeding garlic soaked food to by blue hippo, and massive water changes and adding a uv when he had ich. Seemed to work. I think ick will always be there, it depends on water conditions of your tank and the fishes immune system. I know, there is no point talking about QTing, them now, but when you QT new fish, it allows them to get acclimated from their rough journey, and get their immune system up to full speed without the worry of being harrassed by others.

Yeah... At this point QT them is a mute point unless you going to do Hypo... I would say
1 - keep you water Param. good
2 - Feed them a good amount with garlic. the more the eat the healthier they will get and will be able to fight the Parasite.

Keep up with your parameters! Feed them well!! And remember this; It is a fowlr now, and you're tempted to medicate, but you may decide to go with a reef later on down the line. Or you may decide to sell the tank it self. If you medicate in the tank you will void those two options. You will also kill the live in your live rock. From what I understand ich is always present, but if you keep your tank stable, and keep your fish well nourished you keep their immunity up.

Thanks all! The porcupine already looks much better and was eating some garlic soaked nori today. Im going to keep up with 20% weekly water changes and garlic food.

I currently have a small filter pad in my sump near one of the returnlines allowing it to establish bacteria on it, so I could use it on a 10 gallon qt filter, which I will keep in my tank stand. In the past Ive had trouble with nitrite going up in my qt to quick (even w/ a w/change every 3 days) because there wasnt the proper bacteria balance even if I used all established water.

Yes, i have done sort of the same, just tranferred 2 6" hippos from my 75 to my 155, they were covered, apparently from stress, were clean for 6 months in my 75, and also got popeye, I actually put a strong dose of garlic extreme and zoe into the water(read bottles, and add a bit more in on top of the recommended dose(also turned skimmer off about an hour or two, so it did not get striped from water), one a day, or sometimes morning and night, keep temp at 83, and all cleared up, along with feeding with garlic and zoe in food too, also gave lots of spirulina, they over it, can't get enough. Oh lastly I have 3 cleaner shrimp, they were always constantly checking in, and majorly getting cleaned constantly. Good Luck.
