I didn't think that anyone would have brought the other pair, let alone another pair, but I've seen things sell for crazy prices on the Drivers Den. I would think that any serious clown breeder could get a pair for a lot less.

Once theres thats one person out there willing to pay for it, they'll price them like that.

The price is just for such a rare fish. First off where they come from Lord Howe Island is closed to collecting. A guy from Australia a few years back was one of the fist and and since then the only person that was allowed to go collect these fish. Other collections were for research and not available to the public. He is the only person in the world that currently has them (WC) and have a breeding pair that are available to the public.

I agree. There is really no reason to charge that, I dont care how rare a fish is!

They're hoping that a Clown breeder will buy them, to breed them, that way the price will be treated as an investment by the person buying them. It similar when some vendors where paying high prices for Zoas and Acans, with the hope of growing them out and selling them.

The Clowns that are up for sale are captive breed, so they're been breed and not from the wild. I'm sure in the future you'll see more available. The big risk of buying these is if they're actually a pair.
