I caught 2 a while back with a plastic bottle method which I read about here it worked .Basically your tank is going to look like a mess because you leave the bottle in there.for a while to desensitize them to it and you put food in there everytime you feed .One end of the bottle is cut out so they could move in and out then one day one you least expect it there in there. It took me a couple of tries because when you move to get them they move out but eventually you will.

The bottle trap is a good way. Also I have had success partitioning off a corner of the tank with a piece of glass and chasing the fish into the corner, or luring it in there with food. It may take a few feeds with the glass in the tank before anything ventures in there, but if you take your time you will get it in the end.
And like everyone else has said if you want it done quick you need to break out the rubbermaid tubs and take out the rock. Its actually a lot quicker and easier than any of the other suggestions that have been made and as a responsible aquarium keeper it really is your duty to remove this fish alive with the minimum of stress on all your livestock.

I went through the same thing. Traps didnt work for me, bottle didnt work. I took everything out and it still took me two days.

Getting two nets is also a must, it helps you sneak up behind them

Good luck, I only wish people still werent sucked into buying "cycling fish"
