I heard these guys are one of the few reef safe(r) butterflyfish - and very hard to tell apart from the acuminatus - who are not reef safe..

Just seeing if anyone can confirm or deny - got a lot of sps - but thought it was worth it. very friendly, fiending like a madman on mysis and I sold a large tang who was harassing him to accommodate. Hoping for the best - he's the boss

Where did you get your information from? I could be wrong but i think you have the H. Acuminatus. I had a few that act as cleaner fishes but picked on soft polyps as well.

I got my info from absolutely fish - both Pat and Todd said he was def diphreutes. It's hard to see in the pic, but he does have the black line on the bottom of his middle white stripe - to which I was told is how to distinguish them

haha thanks dre.. they prob are wrongeitherway im hoping for the best. he hasnt nipped at a thing yet and its been 4 days. (knock on wood)
