The next CMAS meeting is Saturday, December 14, 1-4pm, at the Schaumburg Public Library It will begin with the election of our officers for the next two years. (This should not take long)
It will continue with a special presentation by Mike Kirda--a "virtual tour" of tanks. Mike says, "I've been lucky in that I've been able to see several incredible tanks, some of them owned by CMAS members, others by reefkeepers list members. I've been going through the slides trying to figure out what to keep and what to cut--there are so many great images."
in a later email Mike says:
>100 images, of which about twenty I am proud of...
>Four or five of them are sublime. Can't believe they are mine...
>Your tanks start off the program. Some closeups of stuff
>on a powerhead cord in my tank end it. Amazing the stuff
>you can see when you blow it up 5.4:1... I have things that
>were not really visible to the eye. Those little hard red tube
>worms you get that are maybe the length of a grain of rice?
>Full frame, with the amphipods that are stealing their food
>to boot! Now *that* is a photo! I didn't even know the amphipods
>were there before I started to focus...
