Having started out as a Marine Aquarium hobbyist years ago, I want to give a hobbyist the first chance at this Job.
The Coalition of Reef Lovers is currently taking applications to fill a position at the CORL-American Samoa Branch. Starting salary will be between 18K and 24K depending on qualifications. Included are housing, Utilities, Vehicle use, and Travel (Round Trip) to American Samoa.
Requires a Two to Five Year Contract commitment.
Requirements:
AS-BS degree in Environmental Science or Marine Biology
Good computer skills
Good swimming skills
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in weight
Experience needed in:
Coral Propagation, Aquarium maintenance,
Coral farm operation (land based and/or Ocean based)
Additional experience, but not mandatory (We will teach you)
Grant writing and submission,
Watershed Management including Pollution control and Marine Debris abatement
Watershed sedimentation reduction methods.
Other:
SCUBA Certification
6 pack Coast Guard License (wanted but not required for job)
