I've been meaning to start up a 20 Gallon plant aquarium
for awhile now.

I've done freshwater for years and currently own a saltwater
tank for approx. 8 months.

Whenever i start up a tank I never seem to have success in knowing it's last stage of cycling until trial and error.

I would like to know any start up tips on setting one up successfully.

Fish to plant to gallon ratio etc.

I'm all ears to suggestions.
thx.

Try Googling " Beelzebub build". It's this method a guy came up with that uses certin substrates, fish and plants which all work together on keeping the system going. It requires no filtration or water changes. It seems like the perfect lil ecosystem. Gl

Google dry start method, one of the biggest prolems i had when starting a plant tank was how algae over took the plants when they were still trying to establish a rooting system. ry starting really helps with this.
