To overflow or to not overflow.

Im looking to get a 40g custom cube fresh water planted tank going to compliment my 40 custom cube SW.

I got some quotes and it seems the over flow is going to be about $100 more.

Do you guys think I should get it or not? I know for a planted all i need is a fluval and the carbon bubble things hanging in the tank, so a overflow is not needed. I could just cap off the overflow or something similar.

I was thinking about this in regards to resale-ability if i ever decide to sell it.

will it be drilled from the bottom? if not, then maybe you can just have the buyer drill it from the black glass and add it themselves?

I would cap it and use a canister filter. If you decide to sell it, its already drilled so the buyer has the option of an overflow, which will help with the re-sale price
