Yeah, don't you feel great when you see orchid bloom?

I've picked 2 runners of orchid from my back yard and tied it on the bog wood in my tank. Shooting for next year to bloom.

Yeah, particularly when you haven't been paying attention to it!

That whole plant is not much more than 3 inches across...

Really? You got the sci-name for the orchid in your terrarium? Is the flower fragrant?

If every thing went well, I expect to do another terrarium tank next year with orchid and moss all over the back wall.

I'll have to look it up, but yes when I stick my nose the the top its full of jungly flower smell.

Came from andy's orchids.

Probably pointing out the obvious here, but it's an angraecoid (Angraecum sp. or close relative, e.g., Aerangis sp. maybe). Actually, given the small size I would guess Aerangis of some sort.

One of my favourite groups of orchids. The Darwin orchid (Angraecum sesquipidale) has just the coolest stories behind it. And the flowers are spectacular, as are the scents they give off.

Yep! I believe it's Aerangis mysdacidii, if I didn't spell that wrong...
