Well, I must be doing something right. After I fed the tank today, I actually saw my Glowlights spawn!!! Here are the pics! Soon afterwards the eggs were gone, most likey a tasty meal 8O for some other critter in the tank.

congrats.

I never got any egg layers to grow up but your experience did remind me of that first article i read so many years ago. Robert Gasser reported on a relative that raised zebra's in his planted tanks. The tanks were on a porch with walls on three sides. In winter there was a center franklin stove he used for heat. So there were temperature variations horizontal and vertical. The tank were so heavily planted that the val's leaves literally layed across the top of the surface and formed almost a solid mass of leaves. the zebras would spawn, the eggs hatch, and he would feed them with an infursoria (spelling) culture directly to the tanks that contained the larva and the adult fish. And he raised enough to sell to LFS and help pay the the hobby.

Your spawning just reminded my of that article is all.

Yeah.. don't think they will last too long though.. but it was pretty cool. I've never seen that before. They spawned right after I fed them.
