i need to consolidate two small freshwater tanks, both planted, into a larger tank.

will it be the eclipse system 12 or the nanocube 12?

what to do? :?:

i need good lighting. i like the eclipse, but i'm having trouble figuring out how to get decent lighting in the hood. all the stock 13w bulb is good for is probably algae growth.

one of my tanks has been going for about 13-14 yrs + has african frogs, and kuhli loaches; the other (a 3 gal eclipse) for about 6 yrs.

any thoughts?

the eclipse is easy to use, is clear all around. the nano cube has a black back, but seems to have good lighting possibilities- esp the deluxe model. is the nano easy to clean?

thank you!

you may want to consider the 24 gallon nano

I don't think the bulb in the Eclipse is sufficient for plants...at least not most of them. The filter and the lights are superior on the nano...and its not plastic.
