I am thinking of doing a freshwater nano, or mini nano, or pico, hell I don't know what to call it.

Actually a picture speaks better than words, so here it is....

It will hold 1 and a half cups of water, I know that isn't much, and I think its way too thin (around 1 inch) to do a saltwater reef which is what I was thinking when I first got it.

Yeah, my wife gave it to me for christmas, apparently I was bad....

Anway, I have a couple of questions....

1. Are there any tiny tiny fish or freshwater creatures that could survive in that small of a space.

2. Would keeping it at 72 degrees (room temperature) be okay?

3. Would I need some sort of circulation or could I just do with daily water changes?

4. Light? how about a lamp with a grow bulb in it?

This will sit on my desk right next to my computer.

Feel free to shoot me down if necessary....

Comeon, no plants I can keep in there? I have some southdown sand in a bag in the basement, I am sure I could keep at least some sort of small plant alive and well....

Fairy Shrimp would work well or even some ghost shrimp.

Duckweed maybe?

If you really want a marine tank I guess you could have some sea monkeys and a shroom or two. :D

Candiru or Vandellia cirrhosa are very small and tricky - perhaps one of these
