overcrowding success in cichlid tank?

I'm thinking I'm going to try overcrowding in my cichlid tank. It's looking like about fifteen 1.5-2" fish in my 40 breeder.

Anyone have anything to say about this? Vitz?

Yeah, all Africans. I'm not the usual fish-store ******* that mixes 'friggins and SAs.

Looking at 11 saulosi (2 males and 9 females) and 4 labs.

I may throw a peacock in there, but that's a long shot.

the peacock may get creamed...

if you're sticking with similiar types, then ok...

right now i have a tank in our facility with ONE un-i.d.'d riverine hap. species, mixed with about 40 pseudotropheus(albino socoloffis)

you should see how the hap rules that tank, heh

peacocks won't fair too well in a tank of mbuna like fish, imho

That's what I figured. I bred yellow labs in a tank with demasoni, and the dems are effin bastiges...so I figure the labs can hold their own with the saulosi.

I'll just stick with the 11 saulosi and 4 lab plan.

Just raise some brichardi. They will fill out the tank snd are a very cool fish. Pretty too.
