Just noticed this morning the red jewel cichlids had more babies (there are about 50 huddled in the back right corner of the tank under watchful eye of the parents) and that my yellow labidochromis female didn't eat with the rest of the bunch. Upon closer inspection, she's got eggs in her mouth. :D

I need to get them a bigger tank, for sure.

Peace,

Chip

Heh. My folks just stopped by and I forgot to show them the two baby yellow labs in my tank that have survived all the big bruisers in there. So, I notice I hadn't seen the 2nd one much lately and I really try and visually hunt for him. I put some food in the tank to coax him out and distract the big-uns, and low-and-behold the baby fish start coming out of the woodwork! There must be 10-12 baby yellow labs in there! I didn't think they'd survive, but they're fat & plump at about 1/2" each! :D

Just wanted to share the good news. :D

Peace,

Chip
