I was talking to calvin last night and was leading him in the direction of a DIY Glass external overflow. To save him the room inside the tank. All you guys know acrylic bonded to glass doesn't hold well.

I'm trying to find a link to one but I'm not having luck. Later tongiht when the RC search works.

y0 y0 dont put the holes on the bottom~! roFLz i regret so much cal try to put it on the back side of the tank just a hole u'd prolly get some noise try to plot it so u can fit an 90 degree L-bo or some sort. i drilled on the bottom of my tank before because i was usin a ocean clear system but once i went to sump/refug. its like now i got two clear overflow pipes in the middle of the tank roflz, just drill 2 holes in the back glass on each corner like about 3"-4" from top of glass down and u wouldnt even need to see anything in the tank. if i had a new tank to drill it would be so nice. since now i know how to get better flow from directions of water movement. u should follow someones system to get good flow n good water movement n turnaround time. IT took me like freakin trys after trys to get my mini tital pool lols (kickin sand daily) -=P

what kinda return pump are u using?(GPH)?
u could either drill 2 holes on each end of the back one for return and one for outlet or u could drill 3 but that prolly weaken that glass to much 2 inlets on both endsides n the outlet in the middle. best bet is to drill 2 wholes in the backside one each man no uglee overflows overflows are disgusting man i tried so hard to get rid of mine lols but atleast there clear instead of 2 white thick PVCs stickin up best solution the other one left me with pvc 3" high to the back corner when i try to make the overflow in an L shape and relocate it to the back.

Like this? I made this one for my 75. Skims the whole surface and has dual 1" drains.
