Blue Throat Death leap....

I was feeding my tank and noticed that my blue throat trigger wasnt out and about. I looked around the tank and found him on the floor behind the tank. RIP.:frown:

I have a canopy but it has a open back which was how the trigger made its way out of the tank. So now I need to make or buy a screen top to prevent this from happening again. I don't want a glass top b/c I'm using 3 250w MH. The tank is 6'x2'x2.5'. Anyone have any ideas or pics of what they're using for screen tops?

for my 180 I used the net from BRS, but if it is only going on the rear of teh canopy stop by home depot they sell screens dirt cheap

It always sucks too lose fish I recently lost a snowcasso due to health reasons I guess ither way very sorry for your loss there

+1 on the egg crate works great had a yellow choris and picasso that kept jumping into my overflow box and it also reflects a little more light because its white

I just took a look at Kathyc DIY screen top. That's the best option I've seen so far. I may try it myself or even better yet ask her if she could build one for me. I gotta get this done asap, would be pissed if my Blonde Naso, Emperor Angel, or purple tang decided to go carpet surfing.

Glad you like it....but all props go to kathy as se designed an made it.
She makes them with a hard frame now...i prefer the old velcro style.
