I havent been around in a long while... first post in probably over a year... I'm finally looking to get back into this god forsaken hobby :)

I was wondering if anyone knew anything or had any experience with Deep Blue Tanks. My LFS started carrying these, and said they are very good. And the price for a 75RR is cheaper that an AGA and comes with the plumbing kit. And the stands look nice too. Anyone?

if their tanks and stands are made like the rest of their equipment im going to say that they are complete trash. the tanks and stands look nice and have a cheap price but theres a reason why all of their stuff is cheaper than everyone elses. and as far as the tank stand compatability be really carefull with that because i use to work in an lfs and we had issues with some key word some of the deep blue stands/tanks mixing with other tanks and stands respectively. yes tanks are a general standard size but they are sometimes off by just a little that makes it impossible to fit

i said that their equipment is trash, never really shot down the tanks because i did not deal with them as much as the equipment. from what i noticed it looked like the tanks had a higher iron content with a greener tint but that may just be me. some of their stands looked cool and all with the carbon fiber scheme but i dont know how they hold up when they get wet like someone stated earlier. i do know their pumps are made of cheap plastic and shorted easily, their lights do not have ballasts/ the ho units do not give off the light a ho unit should give off and the bulbs in the lights look like trash on tanks imo, they were one of the most frequent returns from them just not working anymore, also for 4 weeks in a row i ordered the same heater 4 different times for a customer and every time it came in shattered after the fourth time they just decided to splurge for a shatterproof heater

Well I have to agree that the stand may be off a little bit with the non DB Stand. I just set up my tank on the Marineland stand and had to cut the centerbrace a bit on the stand to get hte bulkheads on. But it was not a big deal at all!!
