Are there any tech savy reefers who could help me get my apex online and all those fun internet features working?food and beer for the help possibly some coral aswell

Thanks ...that would be a bit of a drive lol....my friend was helping me but were running into some speed bumps.im good enough to program the controller but networking is a bit over my head.

I believe we have it hooked up to the internet but im having issues setting up the web page portion so I can access it remotely.

He set me up a dnys? Account but we think there may be a problem with it.is there an alternitive way?

Also having issues with having it send email and texts.

You need to make sure that your router is set to accept the DYDNS address and also that you have the port forwarding set.

What interenet service do you use? Some routers that are supplied will allow you to set up the DYNDNS within the router.

II believe he set the router up for that ...I had to buy a new router bc the old 1or didn't supposrt ddyns.port fowarding was set up...we fallowed the unofficial manual to the t pretty much I tihink.I have cablevision

Can you get to the site from inside? Odds are you'll need to change the port the site uses as Cable blocks port 80 inbound for residential. For the email you will need to use Cables server as well.

Ha.. He is up and running. He just needs to get his re-director to work. DYNDNS is a charge service now, but it was not working right.

Hey anthony so close but yet so far lol as qy400 said I think im being port blocked lol. Is there another port to use?

You are not being port blocked. If I can log into your APEX from here, then there is nothing being blocked. Your problem is the DYNDNS. You are not running on port 80.

If I can access your APEX directly via your IP and Port then nothing is being blocked. I told you that last night. Paying for DYNDNS is silly, try the no-ip.com. Yes you need to run that little application on your computer. But as I said your IP will not change that often. But since you guys never leave your computers on then you are more apt to get a change.

Just a tip also. DUMP OPTIMUM THEY SUCK!

No dice im I tried afew ports,none of them allowed me to access it remotely ...I can get in in my network but on my neighbors I couldnt

Then you did something to it. I was logged into your APEX last night from my house in NJ.

I am wondering if your DAMN IP changed already......
