I was wondering if these were OK since I don't see any threads with a SKU. I've searched here as well as RC with no specific tiles I could utilize.

I've used regular bathroom tiles (broken) before, never really had any issue

I have been using the tumbled marble/travertine tiles from home depot for years with no I'll effects

The only issue may be that those are most likley polished, the tumbled marble is not. Dont know if the polish may be an issue.

im sure you could probably use any plain tile but it's prob not that much cheaper I'd say either just buy they from a vendor or try and make your own. Basically it's just plaster.

newfi - meant those who noted using a tile already. i'll use the one listed and see if any effects.

The price difference is like 28 cents vs 30 cents, and your tank doesn't need to look like a bathroom.

I had these exact tiles left over from when I redid my bathroom, and I have used them for frags for over a year now.

ming there are some people that state they purchased certain tiles and made about 144~ plugs, the 1x1. I live almost directly across from a HD so it makes for easy access. But definitely a good link. If I buy 2 then shipping, I'm sure end result will be about 20. That would equate to 40 vs the 1x1 144+ 2x2 36 = 180. So huge difference in what I would get. I've seen many threads showing that they have used tiles but none that give a SKU# which would help others narrow down which one they use without problems etc.

Any ceramic tile should be fine, but the first link is a marble which would be polished one side, i was wondering if they may leach out.
