Not sure what could be the cause. TDS out is 0. TDS coming in is 27 just like always. Water seems to be taking extra long. not coming out like usual. what could be the problem. any ideas? carbon and sediment are changed out every 2 months. have not changed di. since it has not changed color. never changed membrane. how do you know when its time to change the membrane?

I don't know where you live but cold weather slows down RO production.

My vertex RO/DI seemed to have slowed down in general not sure why. I spoke to Vertex many times with no clear answer. Not sure if your having a similar issue as that.

+1 ..it could definitely be due to the cold.

Try making some water on Sat or Sun when it is supposed to warm up some. If it doesn't improve, you might consider changing the membrane..any idea how old it is?

You can run the feed through a long coil sitting in a garbage pail of your top off water. Or you can try a booster pump.

i bought it around a year ago but it was used. not sure how long before that it was used for.
thanks for the replies everyone. will check on saturday and see if its due to the weather.
i actually just flushed the membrane. went online and saw how to do it for my kent ro since the flow restrictor is in the actual line
how long do you guys flush for. the kent manual suggest 15-20 seconds. sounds like too short of time?

i had a booster pump cus i lived on 5th flr but even after awhile it slowed down too and it was because it was dirty. so i just changed the filters.

+1

youre getting 27psi? thats pretty bad. I got a booster and went from 30 to 100psi. 100% worth it.

Also, try running the RODI with no filters to see what the PSI is. Then add back one by one to see if any are the issue.,

i had the same problems recently, what i did was put a space heater next to the inline of the unit and my water production came right back to normal.
PLEASE watch your heaters and set it up safely!
