If you have that much, the crabs will not be effective. you're better off taking the rocks out. if possible, and scrubbing them. with that amount of valonia , you could also try a Naso tang.

Naso tang.in a 29 gallon nanio is not a smart idea jmo lol:eat:

Here we go, back to busting chops, jeremy.:lol2::lol2::lol2:

how's it going buddy. and yes you are correct in a tank that size a naso is not a good idea. I didn't realize the size of the tank, in this case the scrubbing is your best option.

Jake if you can pull the rock out and either twist off or cut off the bubbles without popping them. If you do pop them, try to rinse the rock of with a bucket of salt water to get the "spores" from the popped bubble algae off the rock.

take a 1/4" piece of ridged air tube attach a bbq skewwer so the point is right 1/2 from the open end of the air tube. now attach the other end to a long hose.

begin siphoning now use the skewer to pop the bubbles and suck out the spores then remove the husks

then you want to get a few like 3-5 green mithrax or emerald crabs they will eat the verry small bubble and help to keep it in check.

Valonia is the Herpes or the reef world....

Just get a large enough hose and suck them out with a water change. Keep your thumb over the end thats in the bucket and let the siphon flow just to remove the algae through the tubing. A steady flow wont remove as many.
BA is probably one of the easiest algae to remove.
Just do a couple water changes and keep on top of it.
