Natural Predatr to the sponge?

I have a lot of these small white round sponges in my tank. They really do get everywhere and I'm not too fond of them. Anything I can add to my tank to get rid of them?

Angel fish are sponge eater but they also do pick at corals. Some times it's easier just to remove the rock and scrap off the sponge woth a knife.

can u take a pic cause they might not be sponges... just to be on the safe side before u take something out that might be beneficial to ur system...

Sponges growing in your system are benefical

White/grayish sponge will grow in your system under rocks and in areas out of the light. You would be surprised if you pick up a rock as you would probably find some growing underneath it. Some will actually grow long and look like little pictures with opening on the top.

i dunno but for some strange reason i dun think there sponges but im just takin a stab in the dark... if he says there small white sponges they could also be one of those round small white things that are on my back glass i forget the name.... there healthy for the tank anyways.. but just figured a pic is worth a thousand words....

Totally agree with this. I have sponges growing in the best places in my tank......areas of low light, places I don't place most coral. In addition, they are great filter feeders and a great source of natural filtration. They are a sign of a healthy system.

If you're sure they're sponges, I'd leave them and brag to your unsuspecting viewers that you've got sponges growing in your tank. Happy times Doc.

I would put Moorish Idol to control sponges, but I would keep those sponges.
It's like having another filteration in your tank for free.

sponges are good for your system. just leave them. but angles will work or put another coral that has more poisons next to or on top of it.

i got a ton of sponge growing in my tank also there yellow though and all in the dark i like the i use a flashlight at night to see them open there valves up tony u love pics right

I believe you are describing a species of polychaete worms.
