Another aptasia question

I am going to set up my new 57g this week I have 150 pounds of live rock that was in my 65g for 7 years the rock is real nice problem is its full of aptasia.when I tore down my 65 g I transferred everything to a 46g I had set up in my basement.first the corals left rock in 65g for 1 month with a file fish and a copper band butterfly.the aptasia was practally all gone what ever was left over I shot it with aptasia x.know 3 months later is back even stronger.i do not want aptasia in my new tank aptasia was one of the main reasons I tore it down what can I do to get rid of it for good,right now I have it all in a separate tank thanks

You mean just leave the rock outside water for a couple of days?if I do that will it lose all the purple color.i am basically going to start from scratch so I don't mind doing that

Yes... that's what dry the rock means. but leave it out for more than a "couple" of days.
That way all of the moisture within the rock is allowed to dissipate.

Buy dry base rock. Problem solved.

I am seriously thinking about boiling the rock,I am not going to spend money on rock when I have so much of it already
