You want to tr and get a non linear flow outta them. Try putting one up high on one side and one in the middle on the other side to mix it up. I dont know if that makes sense cause of all the shots Ive done tonight lol You should be good to go with the power heads you have tho. HTH

I am putting them in the tank first thing in the morning. Also suggestions on a good reef controller. Anything else out there besides the apex controller that's worth looking at?

Controllers for these type of pumps are basically useless. All they do is alternate pumps on and off with a minimum of 15 second intervals. You will constantly hear the pumps clicking when they are powered back on.
I would just leave it at a constant flow angled either towards the front center glass or on the opposing ends facing each other to create a chaotic flow.

Hydor claims to have fixed the clicking but im not so sure. Hydor has a controller for around $70, so if they still click you could take it off and it wouldnt be a big money loss. There other controllers use the 24 volt pumps.

You will have to play with the placement, like pecan2phat mentioned angleing off the glass can give some good effects.

For a quick cheap fix you get something like a coralife power center strip, put one in the blue, one in the yellow and alternate the timmer as little as every 15 minutes.
