So Saturday while I was helping a friend paint his apartment and my wife was out, the bottom of my 10G decided to crack and leak all but 1" of water all over my floor. She called me when she came home to it and I rished home, on my way I instructed her to get the 2.5 g I had waiting for a water change and put my spare heater in it, then she was able to remove the clownfish and put it in the bucket. Long story short, I sent her to nearest Petland Discounts for another 10g tank and water. I kept the corals, clownfish, skunk shrimp and CUC in the bucket for 2 days with a heater, koralia240, and one light. I transferred all the sand and some rock that didnt have any corals on it into the new 10g. I got the water chemistry even after 2 days and today was able to rescape and add corals and livestock back to the tank. As of right now everything is doing ok, only thing I had to throw out was my 2 BTA's because they were out of water for an unknown amount of time and didnt look good. I didnt want to risk ruining the rest of the tank. All in all I say we did a pretty damn good job saving the tank. Plus the rescape I like better than original.

Point of story: Always keep a spare heater, water and a tank around. Also I was suprised at the fact that the Koralia and AC110 ran without water and still functioned. I got lucky I guess

Thank you. In between the 2 rock structures on the sandbed is a mat of GSP that has been very finicky. I am debating on what to do with it bc I liked having the sand visible in that area. It makes the tank look bigger than a 10g. And yes, thats the first thing I thought, thank God it is not a 75g like I want.
