changing bio pellets

need to change my pellets. do i leave some old pellets in or start fresh with all new. never changed them before. not exactly sure how to .. thanx for any help

As they get used up u suppose to refill the reactor. Don't let it get too low maintain approximately the same amount.

good to know..i am gonna mark my chamber since the tumble pretty much at the same height.

They will get smaller as they are used up and you will see them tumble higher as they get smaller. When they tumble to high you should add more because if they tumble to fast they will just knock themselves around and get smaller not due to bacteria usage but due to smashing into each other harder and quicker
