Neoprene Mat

Hey guys, I would like to place a neoprene mat under the sump to dampen any vibration or noise in my new tank. Any idea where I can buy one or any suggestions? Thanks

bar mats

i used full rubber bar mats. i picked them up from restaurant depot, you have to have a membership to get in there though.

Ok thanks. I actually live a few minutes from a Resturant Depot in Queens. A few on my friends have memberships maybe I'll go with them. Hw much did you pay for the mat?

it was a few years back, couldn't have been more than 8 bucks piece, probably cheaper. flip them over and use a sheetrock knife to cut them if you need. i did that when i placed them under my iwaki as well.

If it's just the pump, styrofoam works fine for me.

I'm using http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000MAEWIO/?tag=reefs04-20 under my Eheim 1260. They come in several thickness if needed.

You could also use strrofoam sheets from home depot for under the sump. They are cheap and easy to cut to size. I think I got a pack of four 2x4 foot sheets for under $10. If you just want to put something under a pump a ziplock bag full of sand works well too.
