Hypo or Copper?

I currently have the dreaded ick....i am now trapping all my fish, just 7 more to go. But I'm still debating wether to hypo them or copper them once i get all of them in the hospital tank. Opinions????

If you;re sure it's ich then Hypo would be fine but if it's not ich then you need to use copper. If you do Hypo you need to make sure you have a refactormeter. Also what fish do you have and some don't do that well with copper.

i say hypo...its easy, free and besides copper sulfate is fatal with incorrect dosage

I would use the hypo method because as noodleman said copper can be very toxic if dosed wrong. With all your fish (7+) in QT I would use the least stressful method which is hypo.

i say copper if you know it's ick, but you must becareful.

If you have a good copper kit you shouldn't have any problem over dosing with copper, specially if it in a bare tank.

make sure your hospital tank has some type of established bio-media in it. This will prevent an amonia spike.

i say hypo. if you have any live rock in there you will kill it. not worth it. i am against copper for that reason

wait...you not suppose to have anything in a QT/hospital tank, except the specimen, a simple hiding place and a filter. There should'nt be any decorative items in there.
