Toadstool got Crushed...Forever broken?

So by my own stupidity my wetside vortech crushed my toadstool. I guess the stem is damaged because its been wilting like this for days. Will it ever recover or just stay like this forever?

Do you have the toadstool just stuck in the sand? It really should be mounted on a small rock. Leathers should not be in the sand like that

Helping it attach to 2 rocks already glued together in the shape of an 'L' will give it a more normal appearance. (if that makes sense!)

It is mounted on a small rock, and that rock is just being covered by sand.
